The short answer
A fixed enclosure is a permanent frame and screen. A folding or retractable enclosure does the same job but collapses out of the way — the space-saving models we specialize in fold back to roughly a 2-foot-deep frame against the wall. If the room can't be surrendered full-time to golf, folding wins. If it can, fixed is cheaper per square foot of screen.

Are folding golf simulator enclosures worth it?
